Online Therapy for Men in California

Understand what’s keeping you stuck. Build stronger relationships. Feel more like yourself again.

Therapy can help you understand what's happening beneath the surface and find a more grounded way forward

You Don't Have to Carry This Alone

Many men I’ve seen learn how to keep going long before they learn how to understand what they’re feeling.

You solve problems. Push through. Stay busy. Take care of other people. Tell yourself you’ll deal with it later.

Until that stops working.

You might be experiencing:

  • Anxiety or constant overthinking
  • Depression or emotional numbness
  • Difficulty communicating in relationships
  • Loneliness or disconnection
  • Stress, burnout or feeling overwhelmed
  • A major life transition, breakup or divorce
  • Trauma or experiences from the past that still affect you
  • Questions around identity, purpose or the direction your life is taking

You don’t need to arrive with the right words for what’s happening.

Therapy gives us somewhere to start making sense of it together.

Ways We Can Work Together

Meet Dr. Jeff Kleinberg

I’m a licensed psychotherapist based in San Marcos, California, providing online therapy throughout the state since 2009.

My approach is relational, insight-oriented, and grounded in both practical skill-building and deeper psychological work. Together, we explore the protective patterns, relational dynamics, emotional habits, and ways of coping that may no longer be serving you, creating space for something more honest, connected, and sustainable.

I specialize in online men’s individual therapy, men’s group therapy, and spiritually integrated therapy for clients interested in exploring meaning, identity, spirituality, intuition, and psychological growth within the therapeutic process.

You don’t need someone who simply nods while you talk. You need a therapist who is willing to pay attention to what sits underneath the story. The things you keep repeating. The conversations you keep avoiding. The relationships that trigger the same reactions. The expectations you’ve carried for years without realizing they’re there.

Therapy becomes a place where we can slow those patterns down, understand them and begin creating something different.

Finding the right therapist matters. An initial consultation gives us an opportunity to talk briefly about what brings you to therapy, answer your questions and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

Jeff primarily works with adults. However, for older teens between 16 and 18, therapy may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the individual’s maturity, needs, and whether Jeff believes he is an appropriate fit.

If you’re a parent, guardian, or prospective client wondering whether therapy may be suitable, you’re welcome to reach out to discuss the situation first.

Suddenly Normal Psychotherapy currently accepts several insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Optum and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies, so it’s worth confirming your individual benefits before beginning therapy.
